Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariusz Pirzmak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Bateman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mariusz Pirzmak!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman throws a sloppy head kick and Pirzmak moves out of range easily.
Pirzmak shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pirzmak swings widly with a right hand
and Bateman counters with a slapping leg kick.
Pirzmak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bateman circles away.
Pirzmak fails to land the takedown.
Patrick Bateman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mariusz Pirzmak.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Let's hope that Pirzmak has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mariusz Pirzmak wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pirzmak rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bateman counters with a good low kick that Pirzmak was not able to check.

enabling Bateman to counter with a crisp jab.
Bateman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pirzmak closes the distance and clinches up with Bateman, looking for a takedown. Pirzmak pushes Bateman against the cage but Bateman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Bateman counters with a head kick. That will keep Pirzmak thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Pirzmak drives through with a takedown into Bateman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pirzmak blocks a head kick by Bateman.
Pirzmak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bateman pinned against the cage. Bateman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pirzmak dives in and grabs Bateman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bateman pushes down on Pirzmak's head and hops out.
