Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micah Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Shadows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Climbing Up The Walls -Radiohead. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shadows throws out the jab.

Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shadows is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Shadows circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Shadows misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silva's corner calls for a 1-2. Silva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Shadows counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Shadows shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Shadows was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Shadows has a good base and remains in mount.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Shadows counters with a nice body shot.
Silva tries to clinch but Shadows moves out of range.
Shadows looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.

Silva has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Shadows throwing damaging strikes from the back! Silva could be in trouble here!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shadows is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Silva knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Silva for a finish.

I really don't envy Silva right now.

Silva is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Shadows gets his way!

Shadows throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Silva looks up at the clock. Bad move! Shadows lands a right hand from hell, dropping Silva. Shadows pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
