Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Crichton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Usher-More Remix. Crichton is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Mauricio Rua has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Crichton's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crichton misses with a hook
and Rua counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Crichton is breathing heavily.
Rua throws an overhand right that lands on Crichton's shoulder, as Crichton tries to avoid the shot.
Crichton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crichton misses with a hook
and Rua counters with a stiff right hand.
Crichton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch combination from Rua misses.
Rua lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rua misses with a looping right.
Crichton slips under a jab.
Crichton walks straight into a right hand from Rua - that's dropped him! Rua jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Crichton from any more punishment! Crichton complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mauricio Rua!
