Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chad Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mexican Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matador comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Maxego kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chad Mendes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Mendes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mexican Matador! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matador tries to sprawl but Mendes drives through with a takedown into half guard. Matador is defending against the submission attempts here by Mendes.
Matador tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Mendes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Matador wants to get back to his feet.
Mendes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Matador defends it well. Mendes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matador controlling the position well. Matador is trying to stand up here but Mendes is controlling him well. Mendes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Matador is trying to control Mendes's posture but Mendes avoids it. Mendes is trying to get an arm triangle but Matador is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mendes tries for a kimura but Matador is defending well. Mendes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Matador, who protects the arm well. Mendes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Matador has escaped the position, nice work there. Mendes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mendes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
