Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vincent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincent is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Master of Puppets. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vincent keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vincent thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vincent lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Vincent looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Michael Vincent has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vincent tries a head kick but it misses.
Vincent throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Powers avoids a punch combination nicely.
Powers avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Powers looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vincent is trying to stand.
Powers is looking to take a break and control but Vincent is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Powers is nestled in close to Vincent, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Vincent is looking to escape.
Powers throwing shots but Vincent is blocking nicely.
Vincent is not content to let Powers control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Powers connects with a nice short shot to Vincent's temple.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Powers tries to pass to full mount but Vincent defends it.

Vincent is trying to stand back up but Powers is controlling him

Vincent kicks Powers off and gets back to his feet.
Michael Vincent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Vincent connects with a jab.
Powers throws a hook but Vincent avoids it easily.
Vincent looks to throw a body kick
and Powers counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Vincent looks gassed!
Vincent slips a jab and a cross from Powers.
Vincent slips a straight right by Powers.
Vincent showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Powers.

Powers slips under a jab.
Some wild striking there from Vincent.
Powers fails with a takedown attempt.
Vincent misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vincent misses with a wild combination.
Vincent rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Powers moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vincent throws a head kick but Powers moves out of range.
A jab from Powers does it's job there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vincent tries to bum rush Powers with a series of wild strikes but Powers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Powers cracks Vincent on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Vincent falls backwards against the cage. Powers follows up with more strikes that drop Vincent to his knees. Powers keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Vincent! This one is all over!
