Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raesa WR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). WR kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Armin Van Buuren - Yet Another Day. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raesa WR! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Da Silva! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! WR slips a jab from Da Silva. WR scores with a takedown into Da Silva's guard. WR with a nice head shot there. Da Silva is looking to stand up but WR isn't so interested in that idea. WR drops back looking for a leg! Da Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Da Silva manages to kick WR off! WR jumps back into Da Silva's guard. Da Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Da Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. WR really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. WR trying to control but Da Silva is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Silva wants to sweep here but WR controlling him for the moment. WR has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. WR trying to control but Da Silva is working from the bottom. Da Silva being controlled here, momentarily. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Raesa WR has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. WR takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. WR shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. WR uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Da Silva.
Da Silva misses with an uppercut. Da Silva misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Da Silva misses with a hook. A jab from Da Silva misses. Da Silva misses with an uppercut. WR saw that one coming. Da Silva ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Junior Da Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. WR shoots in and gets a takedown into Da Silva's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as WR accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. WR trying to control but Da Silva is working from the bottom. WR throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Da Silva keeping moving, preventing WR from controlling successfully. Da Silva wants to stand and escape but WR is having none of it. WR is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Raesa WR. Da Silva works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Da Silva misses with a body shot.
WR takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Da Silva waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract WR. WR avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Da Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. WR sees it coming and avoids it easily. WR takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. WR closes the distance and clinches up with Da Silva, looking for a takedown. WR pushes Da Silva against the cage but Da Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Horrible takedown by WR or perhaps it was just good defense by Da Silva which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raesa WR. That's going to take a lot out of him. Da Silva lands a jab to WR's midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. WR drops his hands momentarily and Da Silva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. WR takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Da Silva stuffs the takedown. WR takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A slow jab from Da Silva misses its intended target. Da Silva lands an overhand right. Junior Da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Da Silva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. No luck for WR with that takedown attempt. WR takes a jab right on the kisser.
WR moves away from the strike by Da Silva. WR shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Da Silva is trying to defend but WR finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. WR wants to control but Da Silva is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raesa WR dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Da Silva misses with a straight left. WR throws a looping overhand right but Da Silva ducks down to avoid it. Raesa WR is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Da Silva scores with a punch to the head. WR tries to move into range but Da Silva moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Da Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by WR. WR shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Da Silva can do anything to dispel that myth. WR not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Da Silva wants to improve his position but WR is controlling well.
Da Silva blocking the ground and pound attempt from WR. WR throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. WR is looking to take a break and control but Da Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. WR takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. WR prevents Da Silva from standing back up.
WR throwing shots but Da Silva is blocking nicely. WR is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. WR lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Da Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but WR scores with a couple of nice shots. Da Silva is looking to get back to is feet but WR passes into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. WR working the ground and pound. Da Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with WR. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. WR working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
This has been an exciting period of action! WR lands a nice forearm strike. WR cracks Da Silva with a big right hand but Da Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
WR trying to control the action but Da Silva is working from the bottom. Da Silva is breathing heavily. WR in side control lands a decent elbow. WR grinds an elbow into Da Silva's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. WR cracks Da Silva with a big right hand but Da Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's three minutes gone in the round. WR trying to control the position but Da Silva is working away. WR thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. WR working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. WR lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Da Silva down.
Da Silva stops WR from passing to mount. WR connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Da Silva some visible discomfort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by WR. WR working the ground and pound. Da Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
WR lands a nice forearm strike. WR throws an elbow but Da Silva slips to the side and avoids it well. WR tries to score with some ground and pound. Da Silva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. WR throwing shots but missing, from side control. WR wants to lay and pray for a moment but Da Silva keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. WR lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Da Silva down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raesa WR dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
WR is trying hard to land a takedown here. Da Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A jab from Da Silva misses. Da Silva pushing out the jab but it's not landing. WR dives in and grabs Da Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Da Silva pushes down on WR's head and hops out. WR ducks under a wild hook from Da Silva. WR uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Da Silva.
Da Silva misses with an uppercut. Da Silva throws a lazy right hand but WR sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. WR uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Da Silva. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Da Silva misses the jab. Da Silva misses with a hook
and WR counters by clinching up. WR keeps control of Da Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Da Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch. WR is trying to trip Da Silva. He has hold of a leg but Da Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. WR persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. WR throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Da Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. WR postures up in Da Silva's guard and throws a big left but Da Silva blocks it. WR trying to control the position from guard on top but Da Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. WR connects with a couple of short punches. WR postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. WR looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. WR stands and steps away. Da Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A looping hook to the body misses from Da Silva. WR does a little dance to reset his feet. Da Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raesa WR. That's going to take a lot out of him. WR staying out of range there. Da Silva connects with a body shot that sends WR's belly button to the back. WR displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Da Silva throws out the jab. Da Silva lands a nice looking body shot.
WR shoots in looking for a takedown but Da Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing WR's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Silva swings for the body but WR moves out of range.
Da Silva misses with a hook. WR ducked under it nicely. WR uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Da Silva. WR throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Da Silva's waist but Da Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing WR off to one side. WR slips under a jab. Da Silva misses the shot to the body. Junior Da Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Da Silva slips a straight right by WR. A telegraphed right hand from Da Silva misses the target. Da Silva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Da Silva looks to land a combination but WR avoids it well. Da Silva scores with a jab to the jaw. Da Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Da Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Da Silva looks to land a left hand but WR moved out of range nicely. The fighters circle momentarily. Da Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Da Silva lands with a nice body punch. WR takes a jab right on the kisser.
Da Silva misses with a looping right. Da Silva throws an off balance right hand
and WR counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by WR. Da Silva keeping moving, preventing WR from controlling successfully. WR stands and steps away. Da Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Da Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. WR shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Da Silva as he jumps to the side. Da Silva thows a left - swing and a miss!
And that's the end of the fight! Raesa WR showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for WR, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
