Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cody Pedro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anthony Johnson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson dives in and scores a takedown into Pedro's guard.
Pedro is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pedro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Pedro keeps moving.
Pedro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pedro tries to get out of the position.
Johnson throws a big right hand that misses.
Johnson stands and throws Pedro's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Pedro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pedro is trying to buck Johnson off.

Johnson lands a decent elbow from side control.
Johnson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Pedro dodges the ground and pound from Johnson.
Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pedro takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Pedro avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Johnson.
Johnson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pedro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pedro wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pedro circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Pedro jabs Johnson right on the nose. Johnson blinks but takes it well.
Pedro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pedro wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pedro clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Pedro lands a head shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A slow jab from Pedro misses its intended target.
Johnson shoots in and drives through. Pedro sprawls well.
Cody Pedro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Johnson.
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pedro swivels and escapes.
Johnson looks gassed!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pedro sprawls well. Pedro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Anthony Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pedro closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Anthony Johnson has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Pedro counters with a straight right hand.
Pedro tests Johnson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pedro drops Johnson with a beautiful combination! Johnson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pedro is looking for the KO!
Johnson is rocked!

Pedro connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
BOOM! Pedro lands a beautiful left hook that drops Johnson. Johnson tries to recover but Pedro is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Johnson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Pedro!
