Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeru Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruger comes to the cage accompanied by American Idiot. Hans Kruger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Takeru Kobayashi!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruger scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kobayashi doesn't seem bothered though.

Kobayashi dodges the punch combination from Kruger.
Kruger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kruger falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kobayashi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Hans Kruger has been cut.
Kobayashi lunges at Kruger with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kruger's hand.

Kobayashi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kobayashi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kruger stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kruger lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kobayashi looks to land a combination. Kruger sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kobayashi lands with a nice combination. Kruger backs away looking to recover.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Kruger might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Kruger with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kobayashi to score with a decent uppercut.

Well Kobayashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
