Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santino Carolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Santino Carolla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Lin! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Carolla finds it's target. Lin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Lin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lin thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Carolla to regain full guard. Carolla bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lin's guard. Carolla trying to control the position from guard on top but Lin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lin wants to sweep but no luck. Carolla postures up.
Lin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carolla tries to free his leg and advance position but Lin is retaining full guard. Carolla stopping the sweep attempt from Lin. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lin walks into a stiff left hand from Carolla. Lin throws a poor cross that misses
and Carolla counters with a nice uppercut. Carolla is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Lin shoots for a takedown but Carolla saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Carolla on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Lin drives through with a takedown into guard. Carolla will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lin looking to pass the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carolla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carolla is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Carolla working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lin. Lin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lin postures up in Carolla's guard and throws a big left but Carolla blocks it. Carolla utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lin is looking to work some ground and pound but Carolla has wrist control. Carolla is breathing heavily. Lin throwing strikes from guard but Carolla blocks nicely. Lin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lin trying to control the position from guard on top but Carolla is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lin with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carolla working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lin. Lin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lin postures up in Carolla's guard and throws a big left but Carolla blocks it. Lin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carolla's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lin throwing strikes from guard but Carolla blocks nicely. Lin scoring with punches to the head and body. Lin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lin is looking to work some ground and pound but Carolla has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Lin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carolla napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Lin throws an elbow but Carolla slips to the side and avoids it well. Lin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Carolla dodges the ground and pound from Lin. Lin tries to score with some ground and pound. Carolla controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Lin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carolla on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Lin is looking to take a break and control but Carolla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lin lands a nice forearm strike. Carolla is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lin connects with a decent elbow. Sloppy strikes there by Lin. Lin is working Carolla over with some ground and pound from side control. Lin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carolla sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Carolla takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lin working the ground and pound. Lin working the head with strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lin is chipping away with strikes.

Carolla avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lin. Lin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lin working the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lin scoring with punches from side control.

Carolla is rocked! Lin lands a strong strike to the head of Carolla. That's dazed him! Lin looking to finish here. Carolla is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Lin lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
