The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Solo keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Nice body punch from Singh.
Singh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Singh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Solo avoids the head kick by Singh.
Singh throws a right and a left that Solo avoids nicely.
Singh takes a swing at Solo's ribcage but misses.
Singh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Solo manages to avoid it.
Singh jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Solo moves away from the strike by Singh.
Solo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Solo shoots in but Singh avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Singh fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Solo is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Solo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Singh swivels and escapes.
Singh goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Han Solo has been cut.
Simon Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Singh misses with the combination.
Singh throws a big shot that misses.
Singh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Solo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Singh pinned against the cage. Singh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Simon Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Han Solo.
Singh swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Singh tries a head kick but it misses.

Solo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Solo has hold of Singh's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Singh tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Solo cranks the arm and Singh screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Singh, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
