Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffy Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Warren might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to God's gonna cut you down by Jonny Cash. Jefferson has chosen Fette's Vette as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reggie Warren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeffy Jefferson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jefferson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Warren connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jefferson shoots in and gets a takedown into Warren's guard. Warren is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Warren is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jefferson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jefferson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jefferson gets to his feet - Warren follows without any prompting. Warren throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Jefferson drives through with a takedown into Warren's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Jefferson won't allow Warren to sweep him here. Warren is trying to keep Jefferson in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jefferson has gone for a leg lock! Warren slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jefferson's guard. Warren passes Jefferson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Warren looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jefferson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jefferson is defending against the submission attempts here by Warren.
Warren wants to pass to mount but Jefferson is defending the position. Jefferson regains full guard. Nicely done. Warren lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jefferson working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jefferson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warren is one step ahead there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Warren trying to control the position from guard on top but Jefferson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jefferson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jefferson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Warren is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jefferson. Warren lands a few punches from side control. Jefferson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jefferson can't do much from the bottom here. Warren tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Warren has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jefferson tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warren advances to mount. Jefferson can't escape the position.

Warren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Warren punishing his opponent with strikes. Jefferson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jefferson is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Warren cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Warren working the ground and pound effectively.
Jefferson regains half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Warren tries to pass to full mount but Jefferson defends it. Jefferson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reggie Warren dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jefferson fails with the takedown and Warren counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jefferson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Warren counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A big left from Warren misses. Jefferson has his takedown stuffed and Warren counters with a left and a right that stings Jefferson. Reggie Warren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffy Jefferson. Jefferson shoots and misses and Warren counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Warren is keen to just control but Jefferson is a slippery customer. Jefferson is in trouble now - Warren has advanced to mount! Warren working away from the top, dropping strikes. Warren blocks Jefferson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Jefferson can't escape the position.

Jefferson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Warren trying to pass the guard but Jefferson defending well. Warren is thwarting Jefferson's attempts to control the position. Warren is trying to control the action in half guard but Jefferson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Warren is really struggling to control Jefferson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jefferson tries to roll over but Warren keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jefferson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Warren passes the guard and advances to mount! Warren tries to control but Jefferson wriggling away. Warren with the ground and pound from mount. Warren looking to control and managing it successfully. Warren is working for a guillotine from mount but Jefferson frees his head quite easily.

Warren postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jefferson looks a forlorn figure.

And that's the end of the fight! Reggie Warren showed his dominance in that final round. Well Warren has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
