Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George McMillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abbas Aliev!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McMillan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

McMillan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aliev is just riding it out for now. McMillan eventually gives up the hold.

Aliev with the active half guard here but McMillan passes nicely into side control.
The ground and pound from McMillan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aliev manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

McMillan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aliev defends it well.
McMillan is keen to just control but Aliev is a slippery customer.
McMillan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Aliev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Aliev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McMillan.
Aliev regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from McMillan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McMillan drops back looking for a leg! Aliev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aliev manages to kick McMillan off! McMillan jumps back into Aliev's guard.

Aliev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McMillan is aware though and is defending well.
McMillan trying to control but Aliev is working from the bottom.
McMillan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Aliev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Aliev is looking to sinch up a triangle. McMillan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Aliev's body to avoid the submission. Aliev has instead reached around McMillan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aliev arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Abbas Aliev!
