Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leis shoots in and gets a takedown into Matson's guard. Leis trying to control the position from guard on top but Matson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Matson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Leis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Leis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leis trying to control but Matson is working from the bottom. Leis pushing down on Matson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Matson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Matson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Matson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Leis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Matson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Leis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Leis trying to control from half guard but Matson is working away. Matson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leis passes to side control. Leis fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Leis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Leis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Matson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leis controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leis misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Leis throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Leis is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Matson is trying to escape and Leis transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Matson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Leis! Very nice indeed!
