Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tucker has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Michael Tucker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Shields! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Michael Tucker! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tucker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shields. A punch combination from Tucker misses. Tucker throws a combination that misses and Shields holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tucker looks gassed! Shields gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tucker.
Shields has Tucker pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Shields pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tucker tumbling to the mat - Shields dives into Tucker's guard. Shields passes easily into side control. Nice work. Shields moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Shields stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shields instigates a clinch. Shields is pressed up against the cage. Tucker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shields down to the mat. Shields avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Shields shoots in and bounces Tucker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Shields is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Shields gets to his feet - Tucker follows without any prompting. Shields manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tucker on his heels. He'll look to pass Tucker's guard now, I'm sure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shields controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shields stands up from Tucker's guard - Shields perhaps looking for a knockout. Shields bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Shields lands a nice forearm strike. Tucker tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Shields easily slips into full mount! Shields lands a big elbow. Shields is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tucker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Shields has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shields tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shields cracks Tucker with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shields controlling the pace for now. Shields is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Shields!
