PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edward Furlong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Furlong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Captain Bumout. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furlong tries a head kick but it misses.
Hardy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Furlong as he jumps to the side.

Furlong moves into range and clinches up with Hardy.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Furlong just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hardy's brow.
Furlong looking to throw knees to the head but Hardy is blocking nicely.

Furlong breaks the clinch.
Furlong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hardy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Furlong stuffs the takedown attempt from Hardy. Hardy gets slowly back to his feet.

Hardy jumps guard and drags Furlong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hardy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Furlong knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hardy shoots in looking for a takedown but Furlong manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hardy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hardy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Furlong tries to avoid it but Hardy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Furlong to the ground. Furlong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Edward Furlong will probably get the nod.
