Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milan Diprivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hammil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milan Diprivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Hammil! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammil tries to clinch but Diprivan is having none of it. Diprivan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hammil avoids the head kick by Diprivan.
Hammil is looking to clinch but Diprivan is avoiding it.
Diprivan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A kick lands to the mid section there for Diprivan. The fight stays on the outside here - Hammil looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Diprivan lands with a kick to the temple. Hammil shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Hammil doesn't manage to clinch there - Diprivan circles away.
Donk. Diprivan catches Hammil right on the button with a cross. Hammil closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diprivan managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hammil.
Hammil lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The ground and pound from Hammil seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammil creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. A lull in the action here as Hammil stalls from top position. Hammil scores with punches from side control. Hammil cracks Diprivan with a big right hand but Diprivan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The strikes coming from Hammil are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hammil works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Diprivan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hammil has just dragged him back down to the mat. Diprivan is breathing heavily. Hammil takes a little break here. Diprivan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammil lands a few punches from side control. Hammil taking a breather here. Hammil creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Diprivan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Diprivan is trying to escape the position but Hammil is controlling the position. Hammil works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Hammil controls the position from side control. Hammil in side control lands a decent elbow. Hammil takes a little break here. Diprivan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Hammil tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diprivan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hammil connects with a decent elbow. Diprivan can't do much from the bottom here. Diprivan is being controlled here. Hammil lands a nice forearm strike. Hammil in side control, just content to control the action for now. Hammil works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Diprivan is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hammil cracks Diprivan with a big right hand but Diprivan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Oh Diprivan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hammil controlling the position. Diprivan seems to have got his legs back now. Hammil working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammil cracks Diprivan with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hammil immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Diprivan is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hammil!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Hammil!
