PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mike Tyson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay connects with a solid leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jay.
Jay throws a leg kick
and Tyson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jay's knee momentarily.
Jay swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tyson misses with an uppercut
and Jay counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A low kick from Tyson is predictable there
and Jay counters with a thumping low kick.

Jay scores with a head kick.
Jay throws a low kick but Tyson avoids it.
Tyson throws a poor cross that misses
and Jay makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tyson really felt that one!
Tyson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Tyson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jay.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Tyson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Tyson counters with a three punch combo that has Jay backing up. Jay nods at Tyson to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jay uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tyson.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

enabling Tyson to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mike Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tyson, as that shot connected.
Jay fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Jay counters with a leg kick.
Tyson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jay counters with a good low kick that Tyson was not able to check.
Tyson misses with a left hand
and Jay finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jay throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tyson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jay misses with a wild body shot.
Jay throws a leg kick that is checked
and Tyson counters with a series of strikes. Jay will be more careful next time no doubt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Tyson checks the leg kick.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Jay.
Tyson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jay counters with a nice leg kick.
A low kick from Jay is predictable there
and Tyson counters with a good low kick that Jay was not able to check.
Jay connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mike Tyson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jay stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jay lets loose with a powerful body kick. Tyson will feel that in the morning.
Tyson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jay thows a body shot but no joy.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mike Tyson.
I think Tyson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
