Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paula Abdul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Angel! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paula Abdul! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abdul tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Angel was well out of range. Poor timing from Abdul. Angel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Angel looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Angel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Abdul looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Abdul looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Abdul! Abdul tries for a kimura but Angel is defending well. Abdul is looking to take a break and control but Angel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Angel tries to buck Abdul off but Abdul is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angel is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Abdul's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Angel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Angel is pressing down on Abdul's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Abdul stopping the sweep attempt from Angel. Abdul trying to control the position from guard on top but Angel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Abdul controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Abdul has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Abdul trying to control but Angel is working from the bottom.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Paula Abdul hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Abdul throws a series of strikes that have Angel backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abdul misses with a body shot.
Abdul lands a really nice looking cross but Angel seems unphased.
Angel blocks a jab. Abdul throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abdul lands a jab. Angel shoots in for a takedown but Abdul shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Angel misses with a takedown and Abdul counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Angel thinking. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Angel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Angel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Abdul counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Angel thinking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Angel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Angel misses with a left hand and Abdul counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Angel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Abdul counters with a three punch combo that has Angel backing up. Angel nods at Abdul to acknowledge the strikes. Angel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paula Abdul dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Abdul misses the shot to the body. Abdul stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abdul wants it to stay on the feet. Angel fails with the takedown letting Abdul counter with a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abdul thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Abdul. Angel does a little dance to reset his feet. Abdul throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Abdul is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Angel working away. Angel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Angel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abdul can't do much from the bottom here. Abdul manages to work his way to half guard, despite Angel's best efforts. Angel in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Abdul tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Angel!
