Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer misses with a body shot.
Kolodin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meyer pinned against the cage. Meyer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Meyer throws the left hand but Kolodin avoids the punch easily.
Meyer looks to land a left hand but Kolodin moved out of range nicely.
Nice shot by Meyer.
Meyer throws a lazy right hand but Kolodin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Meyer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kolodin thows a body shot but no joy.
Kolodin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Meyer.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kolodin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kolodin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meyer tries to avoid it but Kolodin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meyer to the ground. Meyer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kolodin has a takedown stuffed.
Kurt Meyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Kolodin.
Meyer throws a shot from downtown. Kolodin moves away and avoids it.
Meyer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kolodin.
Meyer misses with a wild body shot.
Meyer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kolodin fails to land the takedown.
Meyer tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kolodin shoots for a takedown but Meyer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Meyer moves into the clinch.
Kolodin blocks an uppercut.
Meyer misses with a punch to the body.
Meyer breaks from the clinch.
Meyer lands a glancing blow to the side of Kolodin's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kolodin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Meyer sprawls well. Meyer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kolodin gets slowly back to his feet.
Meyer closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Kolodin! Meyer dives in looking to finish! Kolodin is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurt Meyer!
