Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah StAmand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). StAmand has chosen Let the bodies hit the floor as his entrance music. Noah StAmand has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Prevost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Noah StAmand!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

StAmand looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prevost throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Prevost is trying to control but can't.
Prevost flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

StAmand stands up out of the half guard.

StAmand shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Prevost's guard.
StAmand makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
StAmand throwing strikes but missing.
Prevost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for StAmand on the ground.
StAmand working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
StAmand pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Prevost is keeping the position for now.
StAmand pushes down on Prevost's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
StAmand is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Prevost is breathing heavily.

StAmand landing strikes from the mount and Prevost is in trouble!

StAmand lands a big elbow.
StAmand is landing with some decent strikes but Prevost is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Prevost is bucking up trying to escape but StAmand cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
StAmand is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Prevost can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

StAmand goes for an armbar but Prevost turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Prevost.
Prevost wants to control from the top but StAmand keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
StAmand is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now StAmand is on top in guard.
StAmand trying to control but Prevost is working from the bottom.
StAmand has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Prevost wants to sweep but no luck.

Prevost has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. StAmand is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Prevost.

StAmand working away.
Prevost is not content to let StAmand control the position.
Prevost tries to buck StAmand off but StAmand is having none of it.
Prevost wants to control but StAmand postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
StAmand looks to land a combination but Prevost avoids it well.
StAmand has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Prevost misses with a low kick.
StAmand fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
StAmand shoots in for a takedown but Prevost shows good takedown defense.
Prevost throws a series of punches but StAmand avoids them all with ease.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

StAmand closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
StAmand in side control lands a decent elbow.
Prevost on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

StAmand is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Prevost is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
StAmand lands some shots froms side control.

StAmand working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
StAmand is looking to take a break and control but Prevost is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Prevost is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noah StAmand dominated that round.
That's time! Prevost's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

StAmand fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Prevost sprawls well initially but StAmand persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Prevost is in trouble now - StAmand has advanced to mount!

StAmand with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Prevost is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Prevost tries to reverse the position but StAmand maintains control.

StAmand pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Prevost on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Prevost tries to get out of the position.

Oh Prevost is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

StAmand loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Prevost scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from StAmand land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. StAmand stands and salutes the crowd.
