Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Brown!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Brown. Bader does a little dance to reset his feet.
Brown shoots and misses
and Bader counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bader passes into half guard.
Bader throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Brown tries to roll over but Bader keeps him under control.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown punching from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bader stalling.
Brown regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bader.
Bader wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bader keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bader's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bader with a nice head shot there.
Bader is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bader trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom.
Bader seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brown kicks Bader off and gets to his feet.
Brown decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown looks gassed!
Bader manages to get to full guard.
Bader is trying to control the position but Brown postures up.
Bader is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Brown rolls with it to try and escape but Bader cranks on the arm and Brown is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
