Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maddy Bunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Paulson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bunga comes to the cage accompanied by Andina. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maddy Bunga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Paulson!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Paulson cracks a nice hook into Bunga's ribs.
Paulson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Bunga counters with a good low kick that Paulson was not able to check.

Paulson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bunga has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bunga there as he acknowledges the shot.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Bunga - that will leave a mark!
No joy there for Paulson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Paulson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Paulson shoots for a takedown but Bunga saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bunga throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bunga tries to clinch there but Paulson circles away.
Paul Paulson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bunga throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Paulson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bunga counters with a nice low kick that buckles Paulson's knee momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bunga tries to score with a low kick but Paulson moves his leg out of the way.

Bunga doesn't manage to clinch there - Paulson circles away.

and Paulson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Paulson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A jab lands there for Paulson.
Bunga lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Paulson throws a looping overhand right but Bunga ducks down to avoid it.
Bunga throws a lazy head kick
and Paulson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bunga's guard now.

Paulson is working Bunga over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bunga wants to stand up but Paulson is controlling him.
Bunga will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Paulson works over Bunga with some ground and pound from guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Paulson stands up over Bunga, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bunga is striking off his back. Paulson thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Bunga throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bunga has hold of Paulson's hands but Paulson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bunga is trying to escape back to his feet but Paulson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Bunga wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Paulson is putting a hurting on Bunga here, landing some big shots from side control.

Bunga takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bunga wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Bunga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paulson on the ground.
Paulson looks up at the clock and then as Bunga takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Paulson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bunga takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Paulson lands a decent elbow from side control.
Bunga throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Paulson just content to control the position.
Paulson is chipping away with strikes.
Paulson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bunga down.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Oh Bunga is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bunga takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Paulson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Bunga is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Paulson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Paulson!
