Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Angry BlackGuy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eddie Cain! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain thows a leg kick but BlackGuy checks it and BlackGuy counters with a nice double leg into half guard. BlackGuy misses with a head shot. Cain uses the momentum to regain guard. Cain can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as BlackGuy controls the pace. Cain is looking to stand up but BlackGuy isn't so interested in that idea. BlackGuy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Angry BlackGuy. Cain throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and BlackGuy counters with a big head kick but Cain shrugs it off. Excellent takedown into side control there by Cain. Cain sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but BlackGuy is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Cain is looking to take a break and control but BlackGuy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. BlackGuy is looking for a sweep. BlackGuy wants to control but Cain postures up. Cain creates some space and throws a big elbow, but BlackGuy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain wants to control for a moment but BlackGuy uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Cain trying to mount his opponent but BlackGuy defends it. Cain thows a huge punch but BlackGuy dodges it nicely.
BlackGuy is staying active underneath Cain, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BlackGuy is looking to escape. Cain lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cain wants to lay and pray for a moment but BlackGuy keeps working. Cain is looking to stall here but BlackGuy recovers full guard. Cainis looking to pass into half guard but BlackGuy pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now BlackGuy is in guard. Cain is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eddie Cain wasn't active enough on the ground. Cain gets caught flat footed, as BlackGuy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. BlackGuy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. BlackGuy is thwarting Cain's attempts to control the position. BlackGuy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cain does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cain looks to throw a body kick and BlackGuy counters with a head kick. Cain throws a leg kick and BlackGuy counters with a body kick that stops Cain in his tracks momentarily. BlackGuy scores with a takedown into Cain's guard. Cain wants to sweep here but BlackGuy controlling him for the moment. BlackGuy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BlackGuy scoring with some ground and pound. BlackGuy trying to control the position from guard on top but Cain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. BlackGuy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. BlackGuy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in BlackGuy's guard. BlackGuy working for a triangle but Cain defends it easily.

Cain is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for BlackGuy. BlackGuy being controlled for a moment. Cain works to advance to full mount. BlackGuy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angry BlackGuy dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
BlackGuy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Cain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Cain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cain trying to control but BlackGuy is working from the bottom. Cain controlling from the top position. BlackGuy is looking to stand up but Cain isn't so interested in that idea. Cain looking to sit in guard and control but BlackGuy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cain has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Angry BlackGuy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Eddie Cain has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from BlackGuy. Cain throws a body kick, spinning off balance and BlackGuy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. BlackGuy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cain wants to stand but BlackGuy is controlling the position. Cain is trying to keep BlackGuy in close.

We're going to have a standup here because Angry BlackGuy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cain thows a leg kick but BlackGuy checks it and BlackGuy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by BlackGuy. BlackGuy gets control of Cain's arms and successfully pulls guard. BlackGuy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. BlackGuy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cain postures up in BlackGuy's guard and throws a big left but BlackGuy blocks it. Cain wants to control from the top but BlackGuy keeps moving.

BlackGuy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Angry BlackGuy had his way with Eddie Cain in that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Cain thows a leg kick but BlackGuy checks it and BlackGuy counters with a shoot takedown. Cain fights it but they end up in guard. BlackGuy stands up and waves to Cain to follow him. Cain scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cain thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing BlackGuy to regain full guard. BlackGuy keeping full guard, as Cain tries to pass. BlackGuy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cain is controlling him. Cain pushes down on BlackGuy's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. BlackGuy kicks Cain off and gets back to his feet. Cain throws a leg kick and BlackGuy counters with a head kick. BlackGuy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cain counters with a thumping low kick. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Cain throws a lazy head kick and BlackGuy counters with a low kick, right behind Cain 's knee. Cain throws a lazy head kick and BlackGuy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cain's guard now. Cain trying to keep a closed guard but BlackGuy is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BlackGuy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. BlackGuy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cain, up you get! A low kick from Cain is predictable there and BlackGuy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cain's guard now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! BlackGuy stands and throws Cain's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cain can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cain gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. BlackGuy is thwarting Cain's attempts to control the position. Cain is doing well to control the position and prevent BlackGuy from advancing to side control. Eddie Cain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. BlackGuy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cain does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Angry BlackGuy showed his dominance in that final round. Well BlackGuy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
