The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Millit throws a chopping leg kick but Maris manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Millit throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maris.
The fighters circle momentarily. Maris darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Millit throws a front kick aimed at Maris's knee but Maris avoids it well.
Maris slips a jab and a cross from Millit.
Maris chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Millit can pounce on him.
Maris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Millit did well to prevent Maris getting side control.
Millit wants to get back to his feet.
Millit tries to get to full guard but Maris has control of the leg.
Maris wants to pass to mount but Millit is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maris is trying to control. Millit wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Millit controlling the position well.
Millit is looking to control Maris's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Millit avoid being mounted?

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Millit tries to get to full guard but Maris has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maris is trying to control the action in half guard but Millit is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Maris throws a body punch but Millit moves out of range.
Millit throws a series of punches but Maris avoids them all with ease.
Millit works over Maris's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Johnny Maris has been cut.

and Millit counters with a thumping low kick.

Millit swings for the body but Maris moves out of range.
Millit throws a head kick that misses.
Millit thumps Maris with a low kick.
Millit sizes up Maris with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Maris circles away from the clinch attempt.
Millit throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Millit tries to work over Maris's front leg with a kick but Maris checks it.
Millit lands a big right hook! Maris looks hurt but is still standing! Millit lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Maris falls down and Millit dives in with a huge hammer fist! Maris's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Millit runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
