Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Monfriesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz with a lazy takedown attempt
and Monfriesz makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ortiz really felt that one!
Monfriesz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ortiz should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ortiz tries to clinch but Monfriesz moves away
and Monfriesz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like David Ortiz has been cut.
Monfriesz cracks Ortiz with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ortiz looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Monfriesz finish him?
Ortiz is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Monfriesz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ortiz is still on wobbly legs! Can Monfriesz finish him?
Ortiz looks gassed!
Monfriesz finds Ortiz's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Ortiz flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Monfriesz lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Ortiz will be OK.
