Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hu Rah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rah comes to the cage accompanied by Flogging Molly - Devil's Dance Floor. Wein has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Hu Rah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hu Rah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Wein!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wein tries for a takedown but Rah circles away easily
letting Rah counter with a right hand.


It looks like John Wein has been cut.
Wein looks gassed!
Rah closes the distance looking to clinch
and Wein counters with a nice uppercut.
Rah swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rah shoots in for a takedown but Wein shows good takedown defense.
Wein takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rah looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rah missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rah looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Rah trying to control but Wein is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rah is really struggling to control Wein but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hu Rah.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rah.
Rah with a nice cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rah lands a big shot that drops Wein! Can he finish him?
Rah is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rah throwing strikes from guard but Wein blocks nicely.
Rah trying to control the position from guard on top but Wein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rah seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Rah thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rah wants to control from the top but Wein keeps moving.

Hu Rah has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Wein misses with a takedown
and Rah counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rah scores with a sloppy right hand. Wein should have avoided that one.

Rah changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wein looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rah throws an elbow but Wein slips to the side and avoids it well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rah is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wein has escaped the position, nice work there.

Rah tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rah has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rah unloading with bombs!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wein is just holding on here. Rah manages to take his back.

Rah patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Rah is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
A lull in the action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rah biding his time, controlling Wein.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hu Rah dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Wein's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Rah tries to clinch there but Wein circles away.
Hu Rah is winning the standup battle so far.
Wein throws a one two combo.


It looks like Hu Rah has been cut.

Rah shoots in and gets a takedown into Wein's guard.
Rah is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Rah drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rah jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rah stands up from Wein's guard - Rah perhaps looking for a knockout.
Wein is breathing heavily.
Rah scores with a nice strike.

Rah drops Wein with a left right combo! Rah follows him down to the ground into side control.


Wein is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rah is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Wein will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Wein is still in real trouble! Can Rah finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rah lands a few punches from side control.
A lull in the action here.
Wein seems to have recovered his senses.
Rah sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wein is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rah staying calm.
Rah has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rah looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Rah has hold of Wein's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wein seems comfortable defending it but Rah has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wein is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wein is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rah couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hu Rah!
