Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chev Chelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Volkan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chelios might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In Waves. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chev Chelios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Volkan!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chelios lands a leg kick that knocks Volkan off balance momentarily.
Volkan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Chelios sends Volkan crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chelios is motioning to the referee to let Volkan up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chelios drops Volkan with a straight right hand, right on the button! Chelios follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chev Chelios!
