Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kalle Marx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geoffrey King!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King tries for a takedown but Marx sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marx waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract King.
Some wild striking there from King.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marx closes the distance and clinches up with King, looking for a takedown. Marx pushes King against the cage but King circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
King tries for a takedown but Marx circles away easily

and Marx counters with a nice double leg into side control. King won't be happy with that.

Marx working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
King is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marx off and has taken his back!
Marx is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

King has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Marx has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

King is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Marx knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Marx for a finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marx tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Marx swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

King is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Marx has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Marx working to try and regain half guard.

King wants to finish this one by submission but Marx is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from King.
King looks gassed!
Marx is looking to improve his position but King isn't that keen on the idea.

King goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Marx is on top in guard.

Marx drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Marx off! Marx jumps back into King's guard.

King looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Marx is defending well. King quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Marx has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! King celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Geoffrey King!
