Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Will Harmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Will Harmon has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Harmon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phil Hanson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Hanson. No joy for Harmon on that attempt. Hanson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hanson controlling the position. Hanson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harmon, who protects the arm well. Harmon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hanson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hanson wants to control but Harmon is keeping him busy. Harmon looking for submissions off his back. Harmon gets back to full guard.

Hanson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Harmon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hanson can't keep his opponent in guard - Harmon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Harmon seems to be looking for submissions.

Harmon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hanson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Harmon has Hanson in his guard. Hanson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Harmon to take his back! What can Harmon do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Hanson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Harmon keeping moving, preventing Hanson from controlling successfully. Harmon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hanson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Harmon.
