Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm comes to the cage accompanied by Thunder Strike - ACDC. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm swats away the attempt to clinch by Hurt.
Hurt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Storm moves out of range as Hurt throws a body kick.
Storm bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hurt is looking to clinch but Storm is avoiding it.
Hurt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Storm but Storm pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Storm moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hurt lands a jab to the nose.
Hurt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Storm paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Storm drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hurt throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Storm slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Storm stands up.

Storm gets caught napping as Hurt dives in and scores a takedown. Storm manages to retain guard.

Hurt showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Hurt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Storm wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hurt wants to stand but Storm is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Big Hurt wasn't active enough on the ground.

Storm is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hurt's half guard.
Still in half guard, Storm seems content to control.
Storm throwing shots but Hurt is blocking nicely.
Storm wants to control but Hurt is keeping him busy.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Storm.
Storm defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hurt.
Hurt tries to clinch there but Storm circles away.
Storm tests Hurt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Storm ducks under a wild hook from Hurt.
Both fighters circling a little - Storm finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Hurt wants to clinch.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hurt tries to clinch up.
A lazy left from Storm finds it's target.
Good exchange - Storm coming out on top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Storm drops Hurt with a right and a left! Storm comes rushing in but Hurt regains his composure and manages to keep Storm in guard.

Hurt is rocked!

Storm stands and steps away. Hurt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hurt is still on wobbly legs! Can Storm finish him?

Storm misses with a few strikes there.
Hurt seems to have recovered his senses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hurt.

Storm bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Storm moves into full mount!
Hurt is looking to improve his position but Storm isn't that keen on the idea.
Hurt looks gassed!

Storm is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hurt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Storm shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Storm was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hurt is bucking up trying to escape but Storm cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Storm is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hurt is surviving well by controlling Storm's body position as best he can.
