Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bak has chosen One Night In Bangkok as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oscar Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ong Bak!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bak scores with a decent looking hook.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bak.
Bak scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bak's jab looks to have found its range, popping Diaz under the eye.
Diaz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bak.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No joy there for Bak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diaz fails to land the takedown.
Diaz dives in and grabs Bak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bak pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bak swinging wildly here.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bak.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bak tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bak lands with a nice combination. Diaz backs away looking to recover.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz.
Bak throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bak lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bak lands a lovely overhand right.
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Diaz looks for a takedown but Bak sprawls well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bak is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Bak circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Bak which made him look bad.
Diaz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bak.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz.
Bak stuffs the takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Diaz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Bak plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Diaz looks for a takedown but Bak sprawls well.
Diaz fails to land the takedown.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bak.

Diaz gets a clinch.
Diaz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bak gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Diaz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bak fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice combination there by Bak.
Bak falls off balance throwing a combination

and Diaz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Diaz gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz is looking for a kimura but Bak is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage.
Diaz wants to free his trapped foot but Bak is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ong Bak dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bak pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Diaz back to the cage. Bak follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Bak connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd cheers as Bak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though.
Bak lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bak misses with a double jab

and Diaz counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Diaz lands a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz wants to pass the guard but Bak is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diaz trying to control but Bak is working from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Diaz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Diaz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Diaz content to control rather than advance.

Diaz is looking for a kimura but Bak is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Diaz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bak could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Diaz has cracked it and Bak is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Diaz!
