Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alan Langer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Keith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Langer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Keith!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Keith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Keith is looking to take a break and control but Langer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Langer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Keith wants to control but Langer is keeping busy.
Langer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Keith is looking to improve his position.

Langer is trying to work for a kimura but Keith is defending well.
Langer is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Keith!
Keith keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Langer has control of Keith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Keith regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Langer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Keith really wants to buck Langer off and get back to his feet.

Langer controlling from the full mount.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alan Langer just wasn't active enough.
Langer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Keith moves away.
Greg Keith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Keith.
Langer shoots and misses

and Keith counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Keith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Keith looks gassed!
Langer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Keith!
Langer looking to control and managing it successfully.
Keith has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alan Langer will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Langer looks to land a right hand but Keith moved out of range.

Keith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Langer manages to get back to half guard.
Langer is trying is best to control the position here.
Langer gets full guard.
Keith is breathing heavily.

Langer keeping full guard, as Keith tries to pass.
Langer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Keith being controlled here momentarily.
Keith trying to stand up but can't free himself from Langer's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Langer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Keith manages to get himself to full guard.
Langer passes Keith's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Alan Langer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Langer performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Keith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Langer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alan Langer wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Langer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Keith tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Langer is in Keith's guard.

Langer drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Langer as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Keith screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Langer! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Alan Langer!
