Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Hoss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Hoss!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoss misses with a lunging right hand
and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hoss's guard now.
Jones tries to stand but Hoss is controlling from the bottom.
Hoss wants to sweep but no luck.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hoss looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into side control.
Hoss sneaks back into half guard.
Jones works his way into side control.
Hoss tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it.
Hoss is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jones off and has taken his back!
Jones fending off the submission attempt from Hoss.
Jones is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hoss looking for the RNC.

Jones is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hoss gets his way!
Jones turns into Hoss and is now in his guard.
Hoss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Hoss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hoss looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Jones wants to control from the top but Hoss keeps moving.
Hoss has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jones doesn't defend quickly enough and Hoss has managed to lock this one up! Can Jones escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hoss on a fantastic submission victory.
