Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Double Rainbow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Phillip Thompson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phillip Thompson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Double Rainbow! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thompson drives through and clinches with Rainbow against the cage.
Rainbow keeps control of Thompson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rainbow has Thompson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Thompson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Thompson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rainbow is keeping busy. Rainbow is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Thompson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rainbow has clasped his hands together around Thompson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Thompson prevents Rainbow from improving position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rainbow stands up. Thompson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rainbow has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rainbow shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Thompson scores with a nice head shot. Thompson drives through and clinches with Rainbow against the cage.
Rainbow drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Thompson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Phillip Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Double Rainbow. Thompson gets underhooks to prevent Rainbow's takedown attempt.
Rainbow is working for takedown but Thompson is calmly controlling the position for now. Thompson dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Thompson is trying to break free. A short right from Thompson on the inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thompson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rainbow is keeping busy. Rainbow is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Thompson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Rainbow is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Thompson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rainbow goes for a takedown in the clinch but Thompson prevents it.
Rainbow drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Thompson can't break the clinch.
Rainbow tries to score a body lock takedown but Thompson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rainbow drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thompson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Thompson scores with a nice right hand.
Rainbow is rocked! Thompson cracks Rainbow with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Rainbow tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Thompson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Rainbow is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phillip Thompson!
