The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira clinches with his opponent.
America is trying to break the clinch but Pereira has him pressed against the cage.
Pereira throws a knee to the head but misses.
America tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pereira smiles and moves away.
Pereira tries to clinch but America is having none of it.
America fails to land with a series of punches.
America cracks Pereira with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Pereira moves in looking to clinch but America pushes him off.
Jose Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pereira closes the distance but America moves to the side
and America counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Pereira walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. America checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Pereira tries to clinch up but America circles away and keeps his distance.
Pereira loses concentration momentarily and America pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Pereira crashes face first to the mat, out cold! America finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
