Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Sweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Shearer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Sweeney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Shearer! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shearer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sweeney. Sweeney shoots for a double leg takedown but Shearer sprawls well. He's pushed Sweeney's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shearer throws a one two combo.
It looks like Ben Sweeney has been cut. Sweeney misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sweeney looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Sweeney. That's going to take a lot out of him. A big left from Shearer misses. Shearer connects with a body shot. Shearer scores with a hook. Shearer throws an ugly left hook that misses
so Sweeney counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sweeney trying to control but Shearer is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shearer has his hands on Sweeney's head, controlling the position. Sweeney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shearer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shearer keeping moving, preventing Sweeney from controlling successfully. Shearer controls Sweeney momentarily but Sweeney frees himself.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Shearer tries to land a front kick but Sweeney steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sweeney has a takedown stuffed. Shearer lands a body shot.
Sweeney tries for a takedown but Shearer circles away easily and Shearer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shearer jabs Sweeney right on the nose. Sweeney blinks but takes it well. A left and a right from Shearer both land. Nice combination. Shearer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sweeney doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shearer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sweeney is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweeney shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A jab from Shearer does it's job there. Nice straight punches there by Shearer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shearer. Shearer misses with a straight right. Shearer throws a shot from downtown. Sweeney moves away and avoids it. Sweeney doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shearer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sweeney is rocked!
Ben Sweeney's cut is getting worse. Shearer lunges at Sweeney with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sweeney's hand. Oh Sweeney is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shearer throws out a loose jab but Sweeney uses good head movement to avoid it. Sweeney seems to have got his legs back now. Shearer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sweeney shoots in but Shearer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shearer lands with a cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Shearer misses with a straight right. Sweeney fails with a takedown attempt. Sweeney ducks under a wild hook from Shearer. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shearer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sweeney moves away. Shearer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Shearer works Sweeney's body with a nice hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Shearer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ben Sweeney's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Shearer thows a left - swing and a miss! A jab from Shearer finds it's way through Sweeney's defenses. Shearer looks to throw the jab but Sweeney is out of range. Shearer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shearer.
Ben Sweeney's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Sweeney looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shearer is fending him off so far but Sweeney persists. Nope, Shearer circles away and we're back to standing. Sweeney on the wrong end of a nice jab. Sweeney steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shearer. Shearer's corner calls for a 1-2. Shearer obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Shearer lands with a nice body kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shearer misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shearer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sweeney to score an easy takedown into full guard. Shearer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shearer keeping full guard, as Sweeney tries to pass. Shearer managing to control the position. Sweeney controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shearer looking to control.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Alan Shearer wasn't active enough on the ground. Shearer lands with a right hand. Nice body kick there by Shearer. Sweeney has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shearer. Alan Shearer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Shearer misses the target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweeney has his takedown stuffed and Shearer counters with a leg kick. Sweeney ducks right into an uppercut from Shearer.
Jeez, Ben Sweeney's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Shearer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sweeney uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shearer. Sweeney shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Sweeney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shearer tests Sweeney's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shearer cracks Sweeney with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Shearer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sweeney to stand back up!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ben Sweeney's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
