Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jhonny Strait! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and .
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyler closes the distance looking to clinch
and Strait counters with a single leg into guard. Tyler didn't expect that. Tyler wants to stand and escape but Strait is having none of it. Tyler keeping moving, preventing Strait from controlling successfully.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jhonny Strait wasn't active enough on the ground. Tyler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Strait counters by moving into the clinch.
Tyler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Strait closes the distance and clinches. Strait wants to get back to striking at distance but Tyler won't allow it.

Jake Tyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Strait is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A head kick misses from Strait. Tyler stuffs the takedown attempt from Strait. Strait gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Strait controls Tyler momentarily but Tyler frees himself. Strait wants to sweep here but Tyler controlling him for the moment. Strait is trying to control the position but Tyler postures up. Tyler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyler is breathing heavily.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
 Jake Tyler has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Strait fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tyler with a lazy takedown attempt
and Strait counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strait trying to control but Tyler is working from the bottom. Tyler keeping full guard, as Strait tries to pass. Strait stops Tyler from standing up. Tyler looking for a sweep. Not yet Tyler, not yet. Strait wants to control from the top but Tyler keeps moving.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jhonny Strait wasn't active enough on the ground.
Strait shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tyler napping and manages to drive through into side control! Strait working the head with strikes. Tyler is looking for a sweep. Tyler is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Strait has just dragged him back down to the mat. Strait connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tyler some visible discomfort.
Tyler tries to escape but Strait is in control. Strait really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tyler wants to control but Strait postures up. Strait fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tyler pushes Strait away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Strait gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Strait thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyler tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Strait wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Strait wants to control but Tyler is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Tyler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tyler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Strait's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Tyler keeping hold of Strait's head, controlling as best he can. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Strait gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tyler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Strait's guard now. Tyler throws a big right hand that misses. Strait wants to improve his position but instead Tyler has moved into half guard.
Tyler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strait does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tyler is working for a submission of some sort.
Tyler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Strait keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Strait wants to get back to full guard. Tyler content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Strait is not content to let Tyler control the position. Strait is trying to get back to full guard.
 The ref stands the fighters back up because Jake Tyler just wasn't active enough. Tyler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Strait's waist but Strait gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyler off to one side.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tyler shoots for a double leg takedown but Strait sprawls well. He's pushed Tyler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Strait tries to clinch but Tyler is having none of it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Strait is defended easily by Tyler. Strait is looking to clinch but Tyler is avoiding it.
Tyler checks a low kick from Strait. Strait shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tyler defends it nicely. Jake Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhonny Strait. Tyler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Strait has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Strait shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tyler as he jumps to the side.

and Tyler counters with a takedown into side control. Tyler taking a breather here.

Tyler shoots in and gets a takedown into Strait's guard. Tyler trying to control the position from guard on top but Strait is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tyler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tyler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Strait keeping moving, preventing Tyler from controlling successfully. Strait controls Tyler momentarily but Tyler frees himself. Strait is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tyler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Strait trying to keep a closed guard but Tyler is proving a slippery customer.

Strait throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Strait stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Strait wants it to stay on the feet. Strait fails in his attempt to clinch.
Strait scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Strait connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tyler some visible discomfort.
Tyler tries to buck Strait off but Strait is having none of it. Tyler manages to get back to half guard. Strait is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Strait is looking to advance position but Tyler won't allow it. Tyler pushes Strait off looking to stand but Strait dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tyler is looking to improve his position.
Tyler pushes Strait off and gets back to his feet.
Strait takes the fight into the clinch. Tyler is pushing Strait up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Tyler manages to break the clinch.
Tyler with a poor takedown and Strait counters with a one-two to the body.
Strait moves into the clinch. Tyler prevents a takedown attempt there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyler has Strait pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Strait manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strait wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tyler tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tyler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Tyler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Strait is controlling him. Strait trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strait controls from within his opponent's guard.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jake Tyler. Tyler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tyler shoots for a double leg takedown but Strait sprawls well. He's pushed Tyler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Strait tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tyler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tyler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Strait counters with a single leg into guard. Tyler didn't expect that. This has been an exciting period of action! Tyler wants to stand but Strait is controlling the position. Strait must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tyler wriggles free and stands up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jhonny Strait. I think Strait has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
