Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brad Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angel has chosen DMX as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Micheal Angel! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson looks to land a left hand but Angel moved out of range nicely. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Johnson blocks the strikes from Angel.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Angel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Johnson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Angel is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angel is trying to get back to half guard. The referee asks Johnson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Johnson prefers to stall for the moment though. Angel looks to move to half guard but instead Johnson has passed into mount! Damn! Johnson content just to control the position here. Angel tries to reverse the position but Johnson maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson controlling the position easily from mount. Angel is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson controlling his opponent. Angel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Angel tries to hold on but Johnson postures up. Angel is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Angel is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Johnson controlling from mount. Johnson prevents Angel from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Johnson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Angel to the ground. Johnson is now in Angel's guard. Angel has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Angel looking to control.
Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Angel is breathing heavily. Johnson won't allow Angel to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brad Johnson. Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Angel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Johnson controlling the position from side mount. Johnson working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson gets to mount! Angel was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Angel tries to hold on but Johnson postures up. Johnson looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angel tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Johnson prevents Angel from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Angel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Johnson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Angel is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Johnson dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Angel gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Angel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Angel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Angel's legs - danger averted. Angel controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him. Johnson won't allow Angel to sweep him here. Johnson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angel throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Angel looking for a sweep. Not yet Angel, not yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Angel tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Johnson controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brad Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Angel tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Micheal Angel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Angel flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Brad Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
