Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Nietes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hattori Hanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hanzo's choice of entrance music: Kage No Gundan. Hattori Hanzo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanzo shoots in and drives through. Nietes sprawls well.
Hanzo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nietes as he avoids it easily.
Hanzo ducks under a wild hook from Nietes.
Nietes connects with a nice looking jab.
Nice straight punches there by Nietes. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nietes.
Hanzo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nietes sprawls well. Nietes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hanzo gets slowly back to his feet.
Donnie Nietes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hattori Hanzo.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hanzo.
Hanzo slips a straight right by Nietes.

Nietes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Nietes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nietes wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Nietes. That snapped Hanzo's head back.

Hanzo moves away from the strike by Nietes.
Hanzo shoots in looking for a takedown but Nietes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hanzo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nietes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hanzo.

Nietes is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Hanzo dives in and grabs Nietes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nietes pushes down on Hanzo's head and hops out.
Hanzo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nietes circles away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nietes, as that shot connected.
Hanzo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nietes.
Nietes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hanzo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hanzo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nietes as he jumps to the side.
Nietes thows a left - swing and a miss!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donnie Nietes dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hanzo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Hanzo is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nietes is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hanzo.

Nietes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hanzo was well out of range. Poor timing from Nietes.
Hanzo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nietes tries to kick Hanzo off but Hanzo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hanzo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Nietes is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
