Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Hermias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hermias's entrance music is Gang Starr - Code Of The Streets . A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrea Hermias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermias shoots in for a double leg but Walsh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hermias closes the distance and clinches up with Walsh, looking for a takedown. Hermias pushes Walsh against the cage but Walsh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hermias throws a right hand that misses
enabling Walsh to counter with a crisp jab.

Hermias blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hermias trying to stall but Walsh improves his position.

Hermias drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walsh gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hermias is looking to advance position but Walsh won't allow it.

Hermias seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walsh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, if Hermias is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Hermias tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walsh smiles and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walsh cracks Hermias with an open hand slap.
Hermias fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Walsh struggles to land a body shot inside as Hermias controls his hands.
Walsh is pressed up against the cage. Hermias has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Walsh down to the mat. Walsh avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hermias has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walsh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Walsh throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Brian Walsh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Walsh thuds his right hand into Hermias's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hermias shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walsh as he jumps to the side.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hermias gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Hermias is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Walsh defends it well.
Hermias thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hermias is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walsh is just riding it out for now. Hermias eventually gives up the hold.
Walsh is looking to control Hermias's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Walsh avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Brian Walsh.
