Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jb Trent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Dias! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dias throws a series of punches but Trent avoids them all with ease. Dias rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trent moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dias will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dias throws a right and a left that both miss. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trent. Dias throws a series of punches but Trent avoids them all with ease. Trent tries to clinch there but Dias circles away.
Dias lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trent circles away quickly and effectively. Dias tries to bum rush Trent with a series of wild strikes but Trent uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dias throws a series of punches but Trent avoids them all with ease. No joy there for Dias, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dias closes the distance and lands a one-two. Sloppy strikes from Dias. Those never looked like landing. Dias throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Trent. Trent moves into range and clinches up with Dias.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trent keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dias's efforts to push away. Dias can't break the clinch.
Trent breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dias throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Trent counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Trent has picked Dias up - he's going for a ride! Trent dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Trent is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Trent lands a nice short elbow. Trent uses his free foot to push down on Dias's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dias. Trent takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trent looking to ground and pound but Dias is blocking nicely. Trent punching from mount but Dias doing a good job of avoiding damage. Trent thowing shots but they're missing. Trent controlling the position easily from mount. Trent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. You get the feeling that Dias really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trent breaks from Dias's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dias defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Trent. Dias blocking the ground and pound. Trent is breathing heavily. Dias is trying to stand. Trent scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Trent really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dias is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Dias is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Trent looking to ground and pound but Dias is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trent tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Trent landing strikes from the mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Trent is working for a guillotine from mount but Dias frees his head quite easily.
Dias wants to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dias in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Trent decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dias's guard. Jb Trent overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Trent throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dias works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Trent throwing strikes but missing. Trent tries to free his leg and advance position but Dias is retaining full guard. Trent's corner is telling him to maintain position. Trent scoring with punches to the head and body. Trent content to stall in guard here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trent lands a couple of decent looking shots. Trent won't allow Dias to get back to his feet. Dias utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Trent seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dias wants to stand up but Trent is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trent trying to control but Dias is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jb Trent wasn't doing enough on the ground. Trent avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dias throws a nice looking combination but Trent bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Trent takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Dias fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dias looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jb Trent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dias lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Dias throws a nice looking combination but Trent bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Trent decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Trent thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dias's head. Trent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dias keeps working. Trent with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dias is not content to let Trent control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dias tries to kick Trent off but Trent keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jb Trent just wasn't active enough. Dias tries to bum rush Trent with a series of wild strikes but Trent uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dias lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dias. Sloppy strikes from Dias. Those never looked like landing. Dias lands a jab-cross combination. Dias tries to avoid it but Trent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dias to the ground. Dias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jb Trent dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Dias looks to land a combination but Trent avoids it well. Victor Dias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dias misses with a double jab
and Trent counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trent showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dias is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Trent is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias keeping full guard, as Trent tries to pass. Dias wants to stand up but Trent is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dias feints a jab promting Trent to slip. Dias then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Trent slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Victor Dias has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dias displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Dias tries to bum rush Trent with a series of wild strikes but Trent uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dias swinging wildly here.
Dias goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Victor Dias seems to be getting the better of the standup. Trent showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dias.

so Trent counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Trent stays in close to Dias's body and controls the position. Jb Trent is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Jb Trent showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trent, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
