Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas James Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Georges St Pierre was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moore is fending him off so far but St Pierre persists. Nope, Moore circles away and we're back to standing. Moore throws a right hand that misses
and St Pierre counters with a series of strikes. Moore will be more careful next time no doubt. Moore rushes St Pierre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Moore taking a breather. St Pierre lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short right from Moore on the inside. Moore is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but St Pierre is keeping busy. Moore misses with a hook to the ribs.
Moore tries to throw a body punch but St Pierre avoids it by throwing Moore back against the cage. Come on Moore - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

St Pierre moves forwards but Moore connects with a nice, crisp jab. Moore lands with a good body shot. St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt and Moore counters with a left and a right that stings St Pierre. Moore misses the shot to the body. St Pierre fails with a takedown attempt. St Pierre looks gassed! St Pierre slips under a jab from Moore.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moore misses with a left hand and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moore won't be happy with that. Moore is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Moore's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre trying to control the position but Moore is working away. St Pierre connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Moore some visible discomfort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The ground and pound from St Pierre seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Moore is trying to control St Pierre's posture but St Pierre avoids it. St Pierre moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Georges St Pierre dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and St Pierre counters with a three punch combo that has Moore backing up. Moore nods at St Pierre to acknowledge the strikes.

St Pierre throws a combination that misses and Moore counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Moore tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but St Pierre was well out of range. Poor timing from Moore. St Pierre lands a jab-cross combination. Thomas James Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Moore. No joy for St Pierre on that attempt. Moore misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and St Pierre takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Moore jabs St Pierre to the body, keeping him at a distance. A shot to the body from Moore misses and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into guard. St Pierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Moore managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moore trying to keep a closed guard but St Pierre is proving a slippery customer.
Moore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for St Pierre on the ground. St Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Moore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Moore wants to sweep here but St Pierre controlling him for the moment. St Pierre wants to pass the guard but Moore is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Moore rushes St Pierre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Moore pushes St Pierre back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Moore works on St Pierre's body with a couple of short punches. Moore tried to land a shot to the body but connects with St Pierre's elbow. Moore trying to stall but St Pierre improves his position.
St Pierre wants to break free but Moore has control.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. St Pierre escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A close second round but Georges St Pierre will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moore pinned against the cage. Moore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A looping hook to the body misses from Moore. St Pierre does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore loads up on a big right hand but St Pierre slips the punch. Moore looks to throw the jab but St Pierre is out of range. Moore fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moore uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before St Pierre has time to react. St Pierre throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Moore counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. St Pierre has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Moore swinging wildly here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. St Pierre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Moore.
St Pierre takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Moore tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. St Pierre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. St Pierre swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
St Pierre takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Moore counters with a stiff right hand. Thomas James Moore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A jab from Moore misses.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thomas James Moore. I think St Pierre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
