Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicola Kalub! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Kalub as Jacobson shoots in. Kalub drives through and clinches with Jacobson against the cage.
Kalub pulls Jacobson into guard.
Kalub is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kalub is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jacobson throws a big right hand that misses. Kalub is working an open guard so Jacobson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Lamar Jacobson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jacobson throws a sloppy head kick and Kalub moves out of range easily. Jacobson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kalub is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jacobson shoots in but no luck this time. Nice sprawl there from Kalub as Jacobson shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lamar Jacobson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalub doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jacobson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jacobson is breathing heavily. The fighters are battling for position here. Kalub manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jacobson stands up and waves to Kalub to follow him. Kalub shoots in for a takedown but Jacobson shows good takedown defense. Jacobson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kalub sprawls well initially but Jacobson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jacobson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kalub's head. Jacobson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kalub does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobson wants to free his trapped foot but Kalub is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kalub tries to roll over but Jacobson keeps him under control. Jacobson works his way into side control. Jacobson lands some shots froms side control. Jacobson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kalub tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jacobson stands up and beckons Kalub to his feet. Jacobson throws a right hand that Kalub ducks under and follows up with a left that Kalub also avoids with ease. Jacobson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kalub looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kalub tries to bench press Jacobson off him but Jacobson keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kalub has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jacobson but great work by Kalub. Jacobson manages to get back to half guard. Jacobson is trying to escape back to his feet but Kalub uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kalub is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jacobson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacobson is trying to get back to his feet. Kalub wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jacobson, who protects the arm well. Kalub is looking to take a break and control but Jacobson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jacobson is looking to regain half guard here but Kalub keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalub tries for a kimura but Jacobson is defending well. Jacobson tries to strike but it doesn't land. Kalub tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jacobson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Kalub tries to move to mount but Jacobson blocks the move with his legs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kalub is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jacobson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kalub advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lamar Jacobson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kalub shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jacobson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kalub locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Jacobson is forced to tap!
