Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jarkko Kulmala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean LeSac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarkko Kulmala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean LeSac!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulmala shoots in for a double leg but LeSac sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

LeSac drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kulmala is looking for a sweep.
Kulmala tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but LeSac presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kulmala really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

LeSac is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kulmala is surviving well by controlling LeSac's body position as best he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

LeSac controlling his opponent.
Kulmala can't escape the position.
LeSac wants to take Kulmala's back but he can't do it this time.

LeSac stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Kulmala tries to buck LeSac off but LeSac is having none of it.
LeSac tries to move to mount but Kulmala blocks the move with his legs.
Kulmala is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

LeSac is pressing down on Kulmala's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kulmala is holding on for now.
LeSac prevents Kulmala from improving his position.

Kulmala can't keep his opponent in guard - LeSac advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kulmala is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Let's hope that LeSac has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jean LeSac just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

LeSac advances to half guard.
LeSac looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kulmala is looking for a sweep. LeSac is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
LeSac is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Kulmala moves into full guard.

Kulmala had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. LeSac is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kulmala Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take LeSac's back instead.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jean LeSac dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kulmala has his takedown stuffed

and LeSac counters with a shoot takedown. Kulmala fights it but they end up in guard.
LeSac stays in close to Kulmala's body and controls the position.
Kulmala wants to sweep but no luck.

Kulmala is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of LeSac's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take LeSac's back!

Kulmala is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! LeSac is tapping out! This one is all over!
