Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erick Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Baker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Coleman missing with punches from the bottom.
Coleman actively working from the bottom here. Baker is taking a breather. Coleman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Coleman tries to get to full guard but Baker has control of the leg. Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Coleman is refusing to be controlled, as Baker sits in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coleman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Baker's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Baker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleman is keeping the position for now. Baker trying to control but Coleman is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Coleman is trying to keep Baker in close.
Coleman keeping moving, preventing Baker from controlling successfully. Baker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Coleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Baker counters with a nice double leg into guard. Coleman is breathing heavily. Baker wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving. Coleman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Baker wants to pass the guard but Coleman is keeping the position. Baker content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Baker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Baker tries to free his leg and advance position but Coleman is retaining full guard. Baker showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Baker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Coleman doesn't succeed with the takedown so Baker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman is controlling Baker's posture. Coleman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Baker is fighting to break Coleman's control of his arms but Coleman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Baker stopping the sweep attempt from Coleman. Baker wants to free his trapped foot but Coleman is holding on for dear life with his legs. Baker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Coleman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker wants to control but Coleman postures up. Baker manages to get back to half guard. Baker keeping control of the position. Baker trying to control here.
Baker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Coleman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Coleman's back! Baker biding his time, looking for the opening.
You can see the frustration on Coleman's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Baker slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Coleman trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Coleman tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Coleman is trying desperately to improve position. Baker tries to control but Coleman wriggling away. Baker is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Baker is fighting to break Coleman's control of his arms but Coleman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Coleman looking for a sweep. Not yet Coleman, not yet. Baker wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving. Coleman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Baker wants to pass the guard but Coleman is keeping the position. Coleman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Baker is not content to let Coleman control the position. Coleman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Baker is looking to improve his position.
Coleman is keen to just control but Baker is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Coleman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Coleman wants to pass to mount but Baker is defending the position. Coleman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Baker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Coleman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Baker is one step ahead there.

Baker seems keen to control Coleman's posture. Coleman won't allow Baker to sweep him here. Coleman passes Baker's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Baker regains full guard. Nicely done.

Coleman is fighting to break Baker's control of his arms but Baker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Baker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Baker striking off his back but it's not causing Coleman any problems. Baker pulls Coleman in close to prevent any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Coleman stops Baker from standing up. Baker seems keen to control Coleman's posture. Coleman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Baker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
