Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bass comes to the cage accompanied by N 'Sync - It's Gonna Be Me. Griffin has chosen Bird is the word as his entrance music. Peter Griffin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lance Bass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Griffin! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin gets a double leg takedown into Bass's guard. Bass preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bass is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Griffin missing with punches from the bottom.
Bass missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Griffin manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Griffin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bass can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Griffin working for a triangle but Bass defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bass with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Bass has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bass stands up over Griffin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Bass throws a strike but Griffin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Griffin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bass swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bass controlling the position. Griffin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bass is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bass is working an open guard so Griffin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Griffin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Griffin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Griffin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Griffin is working for a kimura but Bass is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin scoring with strikes to the body and head. Griffin is trying to control. Bass wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bass trying to control but Griffin postures up.
Griffin tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bass regains full guard. Nicely done. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Griffin stopping the sweep attempt from Bass. Bass is looking for a triangle but Griffin pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Griffin dominated that round. That's time! Bass's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bass closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Griffin's guard. Griffin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bass wants to control from the top but Griffin keeps moving. Bass throws and elbow that misses. Griffin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bass's guard. Nice move by Griffin! Griffin controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Griffin won't allow Bass to sweep him here. Griffin wants to stand but Bass is controlling his posture from full guard. Griffin wants to control from the top but Bass keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Griffin was stalling too much, according to the referee. Griffin connects with a solid leg kick. Griffin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bass. Bass gets a clinch. Griffin breaks from the clinch.
Griffin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Griffin with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bass utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bass pulls Griffin in close to prevent any damage. Griffin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bass dives on top into guard. Bass throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bassis looking to pass into half guard but Griffin pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Griffin is in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Bass keeping moving, preventing Griffin from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin scoring with some ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Griffin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Griffin wanted to stand there but Bass had control of the position. Griffin looking to pass the guard. Bass tries to land a sweep but no joy. Peter Griffin has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bass lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Griffin! Bass connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Peter Griffin has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Griffin in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Bass prevents Griffin from getting the reversal. Bass is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Griffin is rocked! Oooh a big shot lands for Bass! Griffin is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
