Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Seithman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klas Ondahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Seithman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Klas Ondahl!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ondahl is looking to clinch.
A jab from Seithman misses.
Seithman throws a sloppy head kick and Ondahl moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Seithman.
Michael Seithman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ondahl fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Seithman avoids it really well and circles away.
Ondahl closes this distance looking for a takedown but Seithman circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Seithman.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ondahl.
Seithman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Seithman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ondahl on the ground.
Ondahl remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Ondahl looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Seithman is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Seithman dodges the ground and pound from Ondahl.
Ondahl wants to take a breather but Seithman manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ondahl.

Seithman is staying active underneath Ondahl, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Seithman wants to get back to his feet.
Ondahl takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Seithman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ondahl.

Ondahl stands up from half guard.

Seithman throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ondahl.

Ondahl darts in and clinches Seithman up against the cage.
Ondahl has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Seithman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Michael Seithman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klas Ondahl.
Seithman is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ondahl is defending well for now.

Seithman is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Seithman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Seithman throws an overhand right that lands on Ondahl's shoulder, as Ondahl tries to avoid the shot.

Seithman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ondahl throws a big right hand that misses.
Ondahl keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Seithman's head.

Seithman tries to escape but Ondahl is in control.

Ondahl moves out of range as Seithman strikes.
Seithman throws a series of punches but Ondahl avoids them all with ease.
Ondahl fails with a takedown attempt.
Ondahl throws a right hand that Seithman ducks under and follows up with a left that Seithman also avoids with ease.
Seithman swings widly with a right hand

and Ondahl counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ondahl passes to side control.
Seithman is trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ondahl cracks Seithman with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Seithman wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klas Ondahl dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Seithman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Seithman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Seithman lands with a kick to the temple. Ondahl shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ondahl shoots in for a takedown but Seithman shows good takedown defense.
Ondahl fails with the takedown.
Seithman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ondahl looks for a takedown but Seithman sprawls well.

Seithman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ondahl looks for a takedown but Seithman sprawls well.

Seithman throws a head kick that Ondahl semi-blocks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ondahl shoots for a double leg takedown but Seithman sprawls well. He's pushed Ondahl's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ondahl is breathing heavily.
Ondahl closes this distance looking for a takedown but Seithman circles away.
Seithman throws a series of punches but Ondahl avoids them all with ease.
Ondahl shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Seithman as he jumps to the side.
Seithman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Seithman lands a left and a right that send Ondahl crashing to the mat, dazed. Seithman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Ondahl is rocked!
Seithman connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ondahl is still on wobbly legs! Can Seithman finish him?

Seithman drops Ondahl with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ondahl looks back up at him and smiles so Seithman waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ondahl changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seithman tries to avoid it but Ondahl manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seithman to the ground. Seithman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Seithman lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Ondahl crumples to the floor! Seithman milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Michael Seithman!
