Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Hoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Czesio Niemen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryu Hoshi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Czesio Niemen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoshi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Niemen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Niemen stalks Hoshi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hoshi's face. Hoshi staggers backwards, shaken.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Niemen and Hoshi goes tumbling to the canvas! Niemen follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Let's hope that Niemen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hoshi has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
