Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Art Metroman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilhelm Reich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reich comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wilhelm Reich in Hell kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Art Metroman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilhelm Reich! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reich misses with a takedown attempt and Metroman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Reich makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Metroman wants the takedown. Reich is fighting it off but Metroman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reich's guard against the cage. Reich is pulling down on Metroman's head to control his posture. Metroman preventing the sweep. Reich trying to keep a closed guard but Metroman is proving a slippery customer.
Metroman passes easily into side control. Nice work. Reich is looking for a sweep. Metroman in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Metroman scores with punches from side control. Reich is looking to regain half guard here but Metroman keeps moving and retains side control. Metroman controlling the position from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Metroman tries to advance to mount but Reich denies him. Metroman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reich, who protects the arm well. The referee asks Metroman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Metroman prefers to stall for the moment though. Reich is trying to control Metroman's posture but Metroman avoids it. Metroman tries to advance to mount but Reich denies him. Reich tries to buck Metroman off but Metroman is having none of it. Metroman prevents Reich from escaping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reich tries to bench press Metroman off him but Metroman keeps the position. Metroman working away. Metroman fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Metroman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Metroman is trying to get an arm triangle but Reich is defending well. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Metroman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reich keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reich is looking for a sweep. Metroman controlling the position from side mount. Metroman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Metroman trying to control the action but Reich is working from the bottom. Reich is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Metroman is looking to take a break and control but Reich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Metroman happy to just control the position for now. Metroman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Metroman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Metroman trying to control the action but Reich is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Art Metroman dominated that round. That's time! Metroman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Reich misses with a takedown so Metroman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Metroman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Reich looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Reich looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Reich! Metroman regains half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Reich's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Metroman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Metroman. Metroman controlling the position. Reich makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Reich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Metroman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reich has Metroman in his guard. Reich controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Metroman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reich is keeping the position for now. Reich has his hands on Metroman's head, controlling the position. Metroman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Metroman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Metroman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Metroman sitting in guard, not really doing much. Reich can't keep his opponent in guard - Metroman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Metroman is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Metroman stops Reich from standing up. Metroman trying to control but Reich is working from the bottom. Reich tries to land a sweep but no joy. Metroman looking to pass the guard. Metroman trying to control but Reich is working from the bottom. Metroman is really struggling to control Reich but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Art Metroman just wasn't active enough. Metroman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Reich on his heels. He'll look to pass Reich's guard now, I'm sure. Metroman tries to free his leg and advance position but Reich is retaining full guard. Metroman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Reich trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reich being controlled here, momentarily. Reich trying to control the position.
Wilhelm Reich has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Reich misses with a takedown and Metroman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Metroman.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reich pulls Metroman in close to his closed guard and prevents Metroman from doing any damage or advancing position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reich is on top in guard.
Metroman keeping full guard, as Reich tries to pass. Reich looking to sit in guard and control but Metroman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Metroman stays in close to Reich's body and controls the position. Reich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Metroman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Metroman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Art Metroman dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Metroman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Metroman is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Reich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Reich is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Metroman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Metroman wants to control from the top but Reich keeps moving. Metroman throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reich pulls Metroman in close to his closed guard and prevents Metroman from doing any damage or advancing position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Reich has his takedown stuffed and Metroman counters with a nice double leg into guard. Metroman trying to control but Reich is working from the bottom. Reich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Metroman. Metroman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reich works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Metroman tries to free his leg and advance position but Reich is retaining full guard. Reich not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Metroman stands and throws Reich's legs to the side, diving into side control. Reich is trying to get back to half guard. Metroman tries to move to mount but Reich blocks the move with his legs. Metroman wants to control but Reich is keeping him busy. Metroman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Reich regains half guard there - taking advantage of Metroman's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Metroman maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Reich could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Metroman has cracked it and Reich is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Metroman!
