Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pandos Pandos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carver has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Raymond Carver is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pandos Pandos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raymond Carver! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pandos misses with a head kick.
Carver looks gassed! Pandos moves to clinch but Carver breaks away and Carver counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Pandos is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Pandos lands a hook to the side of the head. Pandos looking to slow down the pace here. Pandos tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pandos. Pandos is trying to maintain a safe position but Carver gets an underhook and turns Pandos into the cage. Pandos jumps guard.
Pandos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carver is one step ahead there. Pandos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carver. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carver won't allow Pandos to sweep him here. Carver stands up out of Pandos's guard for a moment - Pandos manages to land a nice upkick. Carver won't allow Pandos to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pandos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pandos trying to strike off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pandos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carver! Pandos working the ground and pound effectively.

Pandos putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Pandos lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Carver is looking to get to half guard. Pandos could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Carver tries to buck Pandos off but he can't manage it. Carver wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pandos.

Pandos breaks from Carver's wrist control and lands an elbow. BOOM! Pandos connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pandos throws a sloppy strike and Carver uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Carver has ended up in Pandos's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carver wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Pandos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Pandos wants to pass the guard but Carver is keeping the position. Pandos is looking to work some ground and pound but Carver has wrist control. Pandos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pandos throws and elbow that misses. Carver uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pandos's guard. Nice move by Carver! Carver looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Carver is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pandos darts in trying to clinch and Carver decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pandos's guard. Carver wants to get up but he can't break Pandos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Pandos throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Carver wanted to stand there but Pandos had control of the position. Pandos wants to sweep but no luck. Pandos is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pandos wants to stand but Carver is controlling his posture from full guard. Pandos working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pandos tries to free his leg and advance position but Carver is retaining full guard. Carver pulls Pandos in close to prevent any damage. Let's hope that Carver has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Pandos wants to stand but Carver has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Pandos wants to pass the guard but Carver is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pandos working some strikes from top position. Pandos throws and elbow that misses. Carver uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pandos's guard. Nice move by Carver! Carver engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Carver landing some decent shots from guard. Pandos will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pandos wants to sweep here but Carver controlling him for the moment. Pandos doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pandos is striking but Carver is not phased and passes to half guard. Carver is working for a kimura but Pandos is defending it quite comfortably.

Pandos is looking for a sweep. Carver is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Carver looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pandos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carver content to control rather than advance. Pandos wants to get back to full guard but Carver has mounted him! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raymond Carver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Carver has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pandos regains guard immediately. Carver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Carver stands and steps away. Pandos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Pandos tries a head kick but it misses.

Pandos throws a head kick that misses and Carver counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pandos misses with a takedown attempt and Carver counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pandos! Carver controlling from mount. Pandos taking shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Pandos throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Pandos is trying to escape the mount.
Carver manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pandos to take his back! Pandos is in bad spot here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. You can see the frustration on Pandos's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Carver cracks Pandos with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Pandos from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Carver is controlling Pandos's posture. Pandos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carver's guard. Carver is trying to get back to full guard. Pandos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carver controlling the position well. Pandos lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Carver has his hands clasped together around Pandos's back. He's all about the action. Carver is trying to get back to full guard. Pandos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pandos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carver's head. Carver gets full guard. Pandos content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carver preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pandos wants to stand and escape but instead Carver has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Pandos tries to strike from the bottom.

Carver gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Pandos is trying to break free.
And that's the end of the fight! Raymond Carver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carver has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
